When SnapDecisions found me, I was 10 years into a creative search for a patentable concept that my husband and I trusted enough to stake our futures. When I bought my first roll of snaps, I had so much fun putting them all over my world. A self-taught seamstress with very basic skills, I made safe choices when it came to designing and cutting into fabrics, because the work can be so time consuming. SnapDecisions eliminated the fear of mistakes. I was able to make the strangest design choices, because I knew they could be changed in a snap. That evening the name Snapdecisions hit me, I checked the dot.com, bought it, and continued to roll for months through the phases of patenting, designing, and business building. One day, I awoke from the journey and saw before me a company ready to hit the market place. A "Talking Heads" lyric kept coming to mind, "how did I get here?...this is not my beautiful house." I had evolved into a business owner, just as I had evolved into a wife, just as I had evolved into a mother. These are the most important roles in a life, and therefore the ones you want to perform with perfection. On the toughest days that you have to make the biggest decisions, although not unprepared, they often must be made in a snap. SnapDecisions is about going with your gut when it truly is the last thing you have in any moment of doubt. The Turtle, known as the Ancient Mariner in Hawaii, known as a symbol of wisdom in China, and famous all over for his longevity(surviving the prehistoric era and some species living to 250 years old), impressively makes a journey to the same place to lay her eggs and trusts that when they survive they will meet her out in the ocean. Trusting the gut comes from the ancient wisdom that this world and its designs are so much bigger than us, so build your dreams and just enjoy the wave you get to ride.
